In Terms of Mora, We Have No Mora

In Terms of Mora, We Have No Mora

I am late yet again, but today I come back with a juicy topic: Art in Video Games.

I wanna preface this by saying, my view on Art comes from a background of a variety of different mediums and so my views may not resonate with everyone.

The game we’ll use to talk about Art and Art direction in games is going to be Genshin Impact.

I’ve been playing this game for about five years, so I am very biased in saying this, but this game has one of the most beautiful and well executed stories. Some of the newer designs aside, this game has had absolutely gorgeous character designs, this is partly because of the inspiration the game has taken from other popular games released around this time, particularly The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This game was released originally as a mobile gacha ripoff to that but since then the art of the game has evovled over merely being a BOTW ripoff. The world is amazing, most of the stories tie in together well and of course the game’s cel shading helps make everything look like its out of a picturesque movie.

Even More Persona Glaze

Even More Persona Glaze

Nearly forgot to post today, but that doesn’t mean I won’t try my best to get it out before midnight.

Today, I wanna talk about something which I have mentioned the past few days, but haven’t really gone too deep into: OSTs (Original Soundtracks).

This is a really important aspect for me since I’m an avid listener of music of all kinds and especially need proper audio mastering, not because I’m an audiophile(even though I am an audio snob sometimes), it’s because I’m a very emotional person when it comes to consuming art of all kinds, so music kind of makes or destroys how good the work feels to me.

Why’s the Blade So Stellar?

Why's the Blade So Stellar?

New day, so I wanted to talk about another game I finished: Stellar Blade.

This is one of those games, that you suck at but enjoy nonetheless, this game was amazing, the voice acting was just chef’s kiss (in Korean atleast, not sure about the other languages on that).

The game loop was brutal, each enemy usually having its own quirk really had me nearly breaking my controller everytime. Though it was hard the satisfaction I got from beating the enemies cannot be understated.

I’m Not Obsessed, You’re Just Not Vocaloid Enough

I'm Not Obsessed, You're Just Not Vocaloid Enough

Not even a whole day has passed, but I wanted to share something else I love a lot: Vocaloid music.

I’ve been playing Colorful Stage for a few days now, and I have to say this is one of the best rhythm games, period. Obviously, there might be better games in terms of story, world-building, etc., but it doesn’t get any easier while still being as good in gameplay as this.

Rhythm Games Are UNBEATABLE

Rhythm Games Are UNBEATABLE

Early start today, I wanted to talk about how I feel about rhythm games.

My opinion is very biased because of me liking songs a lot, but man, some of the rhythm games I’ve been jamming to have been amazing.

I’ll be talking about UNBEATABLE today. I finished it at the start of the year, but it has stuck with me the most, and I’ve played a ton of games this year.

I Love Persona: Send Help, My Social Links Are Maxed But Real Life Isn’t

I Love Persona: Send Help, My Social Links Are Maxed But Real Life Isn't

This is pretty new to me, so please bear with me.

Anyways I’m going to be mostly blogging about games (especially JRPGs), anime, and music.

Since this is the first post, I’ll just be talking about a game I’m playing at the moment: Persona 5 Royal.

I’ve gotten about 80 hours in the game — it’s an impeccable masterpiece. Coming from Persona 3 Reload, I have to say even though this game is older, it still stacks up against the latest entries. The art style is really fun, and my biggest positive is the world building.
